Environmental Game
Title: Ocean Watch
- Objective: Students will be able to describe the negative impact of trash pollution in the ocean. After the lesson, we will discuss ways to help clean our Ocean and ways to prevent trash pollution.
In this game, students will be given a fishing pole and have a tub of water with fish and trash in it. With the fishing pole try to catch as many fish as you can without catching any trash or the trash getting in the way of the fishing line. Keep note of how many times the trash affects your fishing trip. After three attempts of catching a fish, students can then take the yellow fishing net to net up all the trash to clean the water to clearly see the fish. Students can then catch all the fish with their fishing pole or fishing net.
Materials Required:
- Magnetic fishing game (this includes the magnetic fish, fishing poles, and fishing net)
- plastic tub
- water to fill the plastic tub
- pieces of trash to throw in the water

all materials required for activity are shown in videos below. Trash is interchangeable with whatever trash you have around.
